Solar PV Maintenance
Your solar PV systems get a daily work out and should be serviced just like any other regularly used equipment. Maintenance should include checks of the systems modules and components, wiring, electrical performance, switches, protective devices and mounting structures. Your solar panel installer and the manufacturer's instruction manual will advise on the regularity of maintenance.
It is recommended that a logbook is kept to record the type and frequency of all servicing and maintenance. This log can assist with fault diagnosis if problems occur.

Any maintenance other than simple cleaning MUST be undertaken by a licensed electrician. Ensure the solar PV system is shut down correctly before cleaning is carried out. Safety precautions need to be adhered to when accessing solar panels located on roofs or difficult to reach areas.
